Halo Waypoint launched

Halo Waypoint was launched today. A compact, free app for Xbox 360 offering progress tracking, bonus content and unlockable rewards for every game in the Halo franchise on the platform. (I purchased Halo Wars purely for the Halo 3 multiplayer Mythic maps and, if I ever play that RTS, it will be because of Waypoint.) It's so simple, but it's another inspired monument to the genius of Bungie. The web portal for Waypoint is extremely good too, with a treasure-trove of online content, powered by Silverlight. Where Bungie leads, other game studios must aspire to follow...

The next big event in my gaming diary is Halo Reach...
